This photo is taken at the Kennedy Space Center on Florida's east coast. We are about 5 stories up in the air on a lookout tower. Just to the right of Colton's elbow you can see the launch pad with shuttle!! The shuttle that is scheduled to fly tomorrow!! It's been on the launchpad prepping for the 2nd try takeoff to the Space station. NASA has a lot of souveneier gear that says "I Need My Space" ...
Below is a closer (more focused) picture of what we saw 5 stories up. We were one mile from the launch pad, and that's as good as it gets!!

The space center has a "rocket garden" with The Real Things nearly within touching distance! (roped off to keep fingerprints at bay)
There are multiple astronaut suits on display in one section of the museum.
This is a (non-public) building where the pieces are checked and then the shuttle is actually assembled to the booster and tanks before it is rolled out to the launchpad.
This is an actual Apollo space capsule.
This is a moon mobile!
This is a real satellite!
These are the "exhaust pipes" for the shuttle launches!!
This is Ruthie's most dependable activity: applying lip balm.
This is Ruthie's first 3D movie experience. She was actually reaching out and trying to grab the Hubble Telescope!!
