(Hope we can photoshop the color back into this one - it was on a timer (one of my truly favorite ways to take pictures!!), we all looked at the right spot, and even Ruthie smiled! I guess the flash reflected off the rocks or something... bummer.)
-----------Beach time---------------
Colton showing Ruthie how to use the snorkel mask.
Colton is ON the boogie board IN THE OCEAN!!
...and loving every minute!!
Ruthie's turn.
Beached turtle ... taking a nap.
A couple of days ago we visited Hapuna Beach. Here is Colton post-nap time:
Jared guarding his masterpiece castle in the sand long enough to get a good photo.
Ruthie discovered the joy of completely burrying her legs and feet.
I tried to assist Ruthie in taking a nap for probably 45 minutes under an umbrella in the hot sun on the beach. I finally gave up when she pitched her paci and took off for more play in the sand. Moments later she was practically asleep on the side of the sand castle.
Hapuna Beach- not quite as quiet as our secret beach. It was totally packed.
After a long day in the sun and sand we tried movie theater seating (by moving the chairs right in front of the tv) and Elmo and Harry Monster.
Jared is getting creative with the camera:
------Some incredible frog/lizard pix----------------
Love Colton's face
It was so hard to take a good photo with Colton AND toad because I couldn't see anything through the viewfinder, it was all black so I just clicked and hoped for the best! (This is the best, not so great)....
Lizard hunting in action again
These color changing lizards are a very pretty green when we catch them in the bushes. At night they are attracted to porch lights and we catch them on this white wall ... they are a dreadful pale color:
Please zoom in on this one - Colton's face is hysterical. You just walk along in the big grassy area until your eye catches something moving - huge toads ... Colton was a little suprised by this one.
---------------Geocaching Hawaii-----------------------
Colton was ecstatic to find this one ... hidden quite well!
Another hunt, great find!
Ruthie didn't really dig this hunt
One final we're-on-vacation photo ... relaxing, reading, no rules on the paci, just hanging out.
