TA-DA

Creative Dance for 2 year olds:

It doesn't get much more exciting than this!

Balance beam forward:

Balance beam backwards:

This is a popcorn popping exercise (pretend you're the corn) :)

These are warmups: Baby Jane didn't hear the "let's lay on our backs" changeup.

BRAVERY CAKE!! (this is the exciting announcement, if you need to review read about it here).
In the next picture, Ruthie is admiring her stamp from dance class!! This is the 2nd of 2 huge breakthroughs! Last Wednesday in her dance class she actually participated without me by her side!! It was incredible. Mostly she just stood there, frozen in time, cute as a button, watching the rest of the class. But the most important part was that she was standing SOLO (this would be the 1st of 2 breakthroughs)!! This week (today) she was even better!! And she solo-ed for probably two-thirds of the class!! I started her out. Well, Baby Jane and I started her out. You'll see photos of Ruthie and Baby Jane doing the "mountain" stance below. YAAAYY RUTHIE!! We had the Bravery Cake last Wednesday. Today we celebrated bravery and Veterans Day - two senses of the word Bravery. We made Liberty Bells (YAY egg carton craft, more later). So, the cake photos are from last week. The dance photos are from this morning (thus, the holdup- it's a little difficult to take photos and assist a two year old in finding courage to see past the hair-pulling-stamping-incident.

PS: In case you're wondering, we light the celebration candle(s) multiple times ... the first time for the victor, the subsequent lightings are shared with attending parties.

And what's better than a fresh flower for a budding ballerina?
