Colton and I had our first "Special Day" together. We certainly need to find a more exciting title, but for the first go around that title was pretty darn exciting ... we got a "babysitter" for Ruthie and Colton had a playday with Mommy ... just the two of is. We started with a fine lunch at McDonald's then began our park hopping ... we biked at Waterfront Park and played on the playground there, then headed to Sorosis, Thompson Park at the pool, City Park, and home for a nap. Jared returned home, we had dinner then headed back out, went swimming in the kid pool at the Nat, rode bikes again at the marina and then had much needed baths and we all crashed quickly ... after wrapping up our day with Toy Story. It came to be naptime and we were still going strong ... kind of, Colton wanted to stay in the car and play ... I coaxed him out with a big Cars rug and we played in the shade for awhile, then to the playground.

Coincidentally, this was Ruthie's first bike ride.
She may have been a little nervous at first (see
above photo) but changed her mind and had a
blast!
All in all a really great, happy day. It was a treat to
be with Colton all day long - I forgot what it was like just
one year ago!! (Although I don't think he has forgotten!)
